Mark Cameron White - Partner, White & Lee LLP
Mark Cameron White is the Co-Founder and Partner of White & Lee LLP, a premier boutique corporate law firm with offices in Menlo Park, California and Portland, Oregon. Mark advises companies and venture capital funds on all matters relating to the formation, financing, growth and liquidity of technology-based enterprises.

Mark has represented recognized companies such as HotMail, ClassmatesOnline, Nuvomedia, Native Minds, 3ware, SurfMonkey.com, garageband.com, Betasphere, the EDA Consortium and AirFlash and venture capital funds such as New Enterprise Associates, Nexit Ventures and Selby Ventures. Mark has written several papers on matters affecting emerging growth companies and has spoken on these topics in seminars organized by the Software Development Forum, the Northern California Association of Harvard Business School, the International Angels Institute, the Asian Business Association, the EDA Consortium and other groups. Mark has also spoken on these topics in Singapore, the People’s Republic of China and Malaysia.

Prior to co-founding White & Lee in 1996, Mark formed two other law firms: White & Altman, and the firm of Carr, DeFilippo, White & Ferrell. Mark started his legal career as an attorney in the Silicon Valley offices of Cooley Godward and Fenwick & West, and was the Managing Director of the International Trade division of the Harper Group, a Fortune 500 company. Mark graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Graduate School of Business and a J.D. from Boalt Hall, University of California at Berkeley.


Thomas C. Armstrong - Partner, White & Lee LLP
Tom has extensive experience in representing companies and investors in venture capital financings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. His practice includes representation of companies and investors in various industries including life sciences, medical devices, software, internet, consumer goods and entertainment. Tom is a member of the faculty of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and has spoken widely on representation and financing of emerging companies. Prior to joining White & Lee, Tom was a partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP.
Tom obtained his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and was the Editor of the Communications and Entertainment Law Journal. He received a B.A. from Pomona College. Tom is admitted to the Bar in California and Massachusetts.

Brad Gevurtz - Managing Director,
Head of Investment Banking, D.A. Davidson & Co.

Brad Gevurtz is a Managing Director and the Head of Investment Banking for D.A. Davidson & Co. He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee as well as its Public Equity and Private Placement Commitment Committees. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, Brad worked for over 20 years on Wall Street as a senior banker and in management roles at JP Morgan Chase, KeyBanc Capital Markets, and Broadview International. Brad has significant experience in M&A, private placements, and public offerings, and has worked with clients such as Alltel, AT&T, Cadbury Schweppes, Computer Associates, Comsat, GE, IBM, Toyota, Verizon, and Xerox.

Brad is a former board member of Thinking Machines Corporation and a former member of the valuation committee of OVP Venture Partners. Brad has a B.A. with Distinction in Economics from Pomona College, a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, and an M.B.A. with Honors in Finance and Accounting from Columbia University, where he was elected President of the top academic honor society.


Chris Marsh - President, Talent Management Division,
Kronos, Inc.

Chris is the President of the Talent Management Division of Kronos Inc., a Nasdaq-traded provider of workforce management software. Chris was formerly the CEO of Unicru, until Kronos acquired the company in August of 2006. Under Chris’ leadership, Unicru grew from 70 to 280 employees and was recognized in three of the last four years as one of the 500 fastest growing and most successful companies in the U.S. by Inc. Magazine and Deloitte & Touche. Prior to joining Unicru, Chris was the EVP of E*Trade, the leading online financial brokerage firm and independent provider of ATMs. Prior to E*Trade, he was a CFO and COO for Card Capture Services (CCS) where he played an instrumental role in the sale of CCS to E*Trade. Prior to CCS, he was President and CEO of Superior Transportation Logistics, a company with over $75M in revenues, which he sold to The Greenbrier Companies. After the acquisition, he served as the EVP and Director of Greenbrier Logistic Companies until he left to join CCS.

Chris holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Oregon State University. He currently serves as Board Chairman of the Oregon Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and is on the boards of AuctionPay, Inc., Healthnotes, Inc. and Hubcast, Inc.

Thomas Malone - Group VP & General Manager,
Planning Business Unit, Business Objects

Thomas Malone is group vice president and general manager of the Business Objects planning business unit. In this role, he oversees strategy, marketing, development, and support for planning, budgeting, and forecasting products. Having served as CEO of SRC Software for three years, Tom joined Business Objects when SRC was acquired in August 2005.

As a 25-year veteran of the software, computer services, and telecommunications industries, Tom’s experience includes leadership roles with very large enterprises, small companies, and start-ups. Prior to joining SRC Software, Tom served as CEO of GST Telecommunications, a publicly held telecom services company with more than 1,300 employees. While at GST, Tom was responsible for the turnaround, operations, and sale of the company for $690 million.
Prior to GST, Tom was president of Cable & Wireless USA, a $1.6 billion multinational telecommunications division of Cable & Wireless, plc. During his 10 years at Cable & Wireless, Tom started or managed value-added application services and one of the world’s largest internet backbones. Earlier in his career, Tom acquired experience in sales, marketing, product management, and operations in roles with other companies including CompuServe and GTE. Tom received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering Technology from Miami University of Ohio.

Scott Davidson - Partner, White & Lee LLP
Scott is a transactional attorney with extensive experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, complex technology transfers and intellectual property matters for emerging growth and later-stage companies. Scott regularly advises clients on key issues including strategic alliances, venture financings and revenue generation. Scott also serves as counsel for a number of clients in the apparel, sports and entertainment industries.

Scott’s representative clients include Chrome Systems, Inc., Tour Golf Group (the exclusive footwear license for Callaway Golf Company), nau, OlaKai, Oregon Central Corporation (a partner in Pumpkin Ridge Partners), Gleukos, Inc., OnScreen Technologies, Inc., IndieVest, Vernier Networks, Inc., TenAsys and Louisiana-Pacific Corporation.
In addition to his practice, Scott serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations that focus on improving the lives of the disabled and disadvantaged in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Scott received his law degree and M.B.A. from Willamette University.

Todd Friedman - The Meriwether Group
Prior to joining the Meriwether Group, Todd spent 10 years at Intel Corporation. Most recently, he was responsible for a $150M purchasing operation, supporting Intel's worldwide factory network and working closely with partner companies to achieve technical, cost, and quality goals. Before that, he held various positions, including responsibility for worldwide purchasing and contracting of over $700M in yearly spending, rapid development and commercialization of new technologies, investments through Intel Capital to accelerate technology readiness, and product and quality engineering. Todd has extensive experience in business strategy, negotiations, manufacturing, operations, supply chain management, quality, and intellectual property. He has also worked closely with partner companies in Asia to launch new technologies and previously lived in Japan.

Todd has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Chemistry with Japanese minor from Penn State University.

Patrick O’Neill - CEO, Gleukos
Patrick is CEO and a board member of Gleukos. Prior to joining the Company in October of 2005, Patrick had served as the General Manager of Nike Direct for 6 years. He provided the leadership and vision to drive the US e-commerce and catalog business along with overseeing the Consumer Affairs division. He had full P&L responsibility and managed a team of 120 people. While in his role as GM of Nike Direct, Patrick increased revenues over 300% and successfully launched Nike’s first direct to consumer retail catalogue. In his 15 years of experience prior to joining Nike, Patrick held the positions of Vice President of Finance for Hollywood Entertainment, CFO for Noah’s Bagel Corp and was CFO and Founding Partner of a 126 store Einstein Brothers Bagel franchisee. He has a proven track record of starting businesses, building brands, growing sales and creating shareholder value. He is a graduate of Florida State University with B.A. in Finance and Accounting.

David Howitt - President, The Meriwether Group
David Howitt is an attorney, businessman, investor and entrepreneur. David is the President of The Meriwether Group (www.meriwethergroup.com) a boutique business acceleration and consulting firm with clients including Converse, adidas, K-Swiss, IMG, AND1, North Face, ForesTrade, Rawlings, AudioMojo, HO Sports, Living Harvest, HotChalk and Naturally Advanced Technologies. David is also the President of Meriwether Capital Partners (www.meriwethercapitalpartners.com), a venture capital fund focusing on investing in disruptive early stage companies. Prior to founding The Meriwether Group and Meriwether Capital Partners, David was the Director of Licensing and Business Development for adidas America. While at adidas, David oversaw and grew a $250 million dollar business unit. David and his team grew licensing revenue by over 100% during a 4-year period. David also served for several years as Corporate Counsel for adidas. As Corporate Counsel for adidas, David worked closely on all Sports Marketing deals, negotiations and strategy. David also worked closely with his wife Heather on the founding, growth and the ultimate sale of Oregon Chai. Oregon Chai was a category leader – growing to sales of over $30 million and selling for $75 million.
Prior to joining adidas, David was an attorney in private practice with the law firm of Schwabe, Williamson and Wyatt. David earned a B.A. from Denison University and a J.D. from the Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law. David has made several successful investments in early stage companies over the past 5 years. David sits on the boards of several public, private and non-for profit companies. David is a husband to Heather and the father of two beautiful children.

Matthew Wilson - Of Counsel, White & Lee LLP
Matthew joined the law firm of White & Lee LLP in February 2006 where his practice is focused on complex intellectual property matters, corporate finance, technology transfers, mergers and acquisitions and entertainment law. Matthew advises clients on key issues including venture financing, strategic alliances and market growth. He serves as counsel to clients in the technology, finance, real estate and entertainment industries.

Matthew served as General Counsel for Chrome Systems Corporation until its recent acquisition by DealerTrack, Inc. In May of 2005, Matthew completed the sale of Chrome to DealerTrack (TRAK), which became a public company in December 2005 and continued to provide counsel to the DealerTrack Data Services business unit that included Chrome and Automotive Lease Guide (alg) and several other companies. In this role, he led a team that was responsible for licensing data and software products, as well as identifying and protecting intellectual property assets. In addition, Matthew served as an advisor on a variety of corporate issues including: acquisitions, strategy, human resources, litigation and corporate governance. He was actively involved in the management of the companies and was instrumental in the development of strategic relationships with several companies including National Automotive Dealers Association, DaimlerChysler and General Motors.

Prior to joining Chrome, Matthew served as General Counsel and Director of Strategy for Velagio, Inc., a mobile data and software integration company. In private practice, he advised clients in the areas of domestic and international venture capital, sports and entertainment representation and real estate development.

Matthew is also an active member of his community. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Corporate Counsel Section and recently completed a term with the Pro Bono Committee of the Oregon State Bar. He is also the Past President for the Oregon Road Runners Club, a non-profit organization that promotes running and walking for health, fitness and fun. Matthew obtained his J.D. from Western State University City of Law and a B.S. in Economics and Business from Westmont College. He is admitted to the Bar in California and Oregon.

Michael Stankey - Chairman, Chief Executive Officer
& President, PolyServe

Mike Stankey has 20 years of enterprise software and technology management experience. Prior to joining PolyServe, he spent nine years at PeopleSoft, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of North American Field Operations, where he was instrumental in growing the company’s applications software business. Prior to PeopleSoft, Mike held sales and sales management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he gained a working knowledge of clusters and systems infrastructure management tools, and American Software, a logistics management software provider. He started his career at Honeywell with positions in MIS and accounting. Mike is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with majors in management information systems and accounting. In addition to serving on the PolyServe Board, Mike currently serves on the board of Cape Clear, a web services software provider.

Jason McKerr - VP Operations, JanRain
Jason manages operations and finance for JanRain, overseeing daily operations, partnerships, and company sales and relationships. Before coming to JanRain, Jason managed operations for the OSU Open Source Lab, a leading Open Source research and development center funded by and based at Oregon State University. Jason has also worked extensively throughout his career as a software engineer in various roles. He has bachelor’s degrees from Boston College in Finance and Economics, and his M.B.A. from Oregon State University.

Greg Gottesman - Managing Director, Madrona Venture
Group

Greg Gottesman is a Managing Director of Madrona Venture Group, a venture capital firm that focuses on investments in Internet, software and wireless companies based in the Pacific Northwest. Greg joined Madrona in 1997 and currently serves on the boards of AdReady, Bocada, ePartners, Intrepid Learning Solutions, SchemaLogic, SourceLabs, ThinkFire, and WildTangent.
Greg managed the firm’s investments in Dantz Development Corporation (prior to its acquisition by EMC), Rendition Networks (prior to its acquisition by Opsware), Singingfish.com (prior to its acquisition by Thomson Consumer Electronics), LiveBid.com (prior to its acquisition by Amazon.com), and AdRelevance (prior to its acquisition by Media Metrix). Before joining Madrona, he worked as an Associate of the Boston Consulting Group.

Greg is a board member of the Evergreen Venture Capital Association, University of Washington Business School’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), and Mercer Island Schools Foundation. He is an Advisory Board member of the University of Washington Technology Transfer Office and Treasurer of the national board of NPower, a not-for-profit that provides technology services to other not-for-profits. Greg is a current Advisory Board member and former Chair of the Trustees Committee of the Seattle Repertory Theatre. He is the author of three books. Greg also is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Washington Business School, teaching a class on venture finance for the past five years.

Greg graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors and distinction from Stanford University, with honors and distinction from Harvard Business School, and with honors from Harvard Law School where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. Greg enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, answering email messages minute-to-minute on his blackberry, and playing golf and tennis, not necessarily in that order.

Simon Birkett - Founder & CEO, HeadWest Software, Inc.
Simon has an 18-year IT and change management pedigree. Prior to establishing HeadsUp, he was a regional sales manager at Merant (Serena), where he contributed to Asia Pacific’s best ever year. He has also consulted on change management at Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific in Hong Kong and held both technical and sales directorships at NetSiam, a software start-up that he helped grow from 3 to 55 staff during an 8-year period in Thailand. Simon’s key interests are software development processes and their interaction with project management and accountability.

Stuart Cohen - Chief Executive Officer, Open Source
Development Lab

Stuart Cohen is a seasoned technology industry executive who consistently focuses on sustainable, profitable growth and market leadership. With over 22 years of international sales and marketing experience, Stuart most recently served as vice president and corporate officer at RadiSys Corporation where his responsibilities included strategic partnership development with other industry leaders including IBM, HP and Dell. Prior to RadiSys, Stuart was vice president of worldwide marketing and a corporate officer at InFocus Corporation. Stuart spent 17 years with IBM, where he held senior positions in the U.S. sales & marketing division, and the IBM Personal Computer Company and Networking Division, with international business development responsibilities in Europe, Southeast Asia and China.
Stuart holds a B.S. in Quantitative Business Analysis from Arizona State University.

William H. Caffee - Partner, White & Lee LLP
Bill has extensive experience in corporate finance and securities law matters, including the representation of technology and emerging growth companies, securities professionals, and investors. His practice encompasses the formation, financing, corporate governance, intellectual property counseling and transactional fields. He has handled complex mergers and acquisitions, licensing and distribution arrangements, venture capital financings and strategic partnerships for a wide variety of public and private company clients in a wide range of industries.

Bill was Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Securities Regulation Section of the Oregon State Bar and taught Securities Regulation as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Oregon School of Law, Willamette University College of Law, and Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College. Prior to joining White & Lee in 2000, Bill was the lead partner in the securities law practice of the Portland firm of Dunn Carney Allen Higgins & Tongue LLP and was a securities examiner with the Oregon Corporation Commission.

Bill graduated from the University of Oregon, School of Law, and received a B.A. in Philosophy, Highest Honors, from the University of Washington.

Vijay Parmar - President & CEO of Gainspan Corporation
Vijay Parmar is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Gainspan Corporation, a recent spinout of Intel. Prior to Gainspan, Vijay was the General Manager of the same business within Intel. He drove the strategy, business plan, customer engagement and product roadmap taking the wireless sensor network seed to fully funded business in Intel and then to a VC-funded private enterprise.

Vijay joined Intel in 2001 pursuant to Intel’s acquisition of VxTel, Inc. where he served as the Vice President of Marketing. At VxTel, he built key strategic relationships with customers and ecosystem including one with Intel. Vijay held various executive positions at AMD prior to joining VxTel.

Vijay received a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and an M.B.A. from Tulane University.



Rich Wykoff - General Manager, New Business Initiatives, Intel Capital
Rich Wykoff joined Intel Corporation in 1976. He is currently the General Manager of Intel’s New Business Initiatives group (NBI). NBI is a corporate incubator, chartered to develop new growth businesses for the company. NBI manages a continuous innovation process designed for early identification and development of significant business opportunities. Its portfolio typically holds 10-15 ventures at different stages, with success measured via financial and strategic metrics.

Prior to his current role, Rich held management roles in many business groups at Intel, including Manufacturing, Materials Systems and Planning, Program Management, Engineering and P&L Management.

Rich currently supports Higher Education in Oregon through his role as Vice President of the Oregon Institute of Technology Foundation.

Jim Huston - Venture Partner, Blueprint Ventures
Jim Huston is a Managing Director with Blueprint Ventures, a technology venture capital firm which specializes in early stage corporate IP spinouts. Jim brings more than 20 years of technology industry experience, having worked and invested in early stage technology companies throughout the world since 1995. Jim has extensive experience with early stage corporate IP spin outs from both the corporate and venture capital perspectives. Previously, Jim served in numerous positions within Intel Capital, the world’s largest technology venture organization. From 2002 – 2004, Jim served as the Director of Strategic IP and led Intel’s IP Acquisition Fund which acquired patents and other IP for growing new businesses at Intel. From 1995 – 2001, Jim was Director of Strategic Investments for Intel Capital where he led Intel’s investment in 17 companies and managed 5 investment professionals who did more than 60 investments during this time. He was directly responsible for one of Intel’s earliest successful spinouts – RadiSys. Jim also led 9 acquisitions for and served as Intel’s appointed Board Observer for 7 Intel Capital portfolio companies. Prior to joining Intel Capital in 1995 he held various marketing and general management positions in Intel’s OEM PC Division, Network Products Division, and Development Systems Operation.
Jim currently serves as an adjunct professor at Portland State University’s School of Business Administration, and as an adjunct professor at Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. He is also on the Board of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum, on the Advisory Board for the Portland State Center for Emerging Technology, and on the Advisory Board for Oregon Public Broadcasting. Jim holds an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology.

Blair Minniti - KPMG
Blair is a tax partner with over 19 years of experience in tax, including both publicly held and privately owned companies. He primarily serves companies in the high technology industry and is co-managing partner of the Portland Technology Practice. Among other things, Blair has participated in the structuring of mergers and acquisitions, including tax planning for corporations and shareholders as well as executive compensation and stock option planning. Blair also serves as a firm technical resource partner for FASB Statement 109, Accounting for Income Taxes. In addition, Blair is a frequent speaker on numerous topics, including tax and accounting treatment of stock options, mergers and acquisitions, raising venture capital, and other related topics.
Blair’s representative client experience includes Cascade Microtech, Pixelworks, Inc., SmartForest Ventures ProSight, Inc., SignaCert, Siltronic Corporation, Max-Viz, Inc., Tripwire Security Systems, and Merix Corporation.

Blair is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Electronics Association (Oregon Council), the Software Association of Oregon and the Executive Committee of the Accounting Circle for the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon. Gerard H. Langeler - General Partner, OVP Venture

Gerry Langeler is a General Partner with OVP Venture Partners, the most successful venture capital firm in the Pacific Northwest. OVP is in its 23rd year, having raised its seventh fund (OVP VII) in 2006 at $207 million. OVP has over $700 million of capital under management. OVP focuses on early-stage companies in communications, semiconductors, software infrastructure and digital biology.

Since 1983, OVP has backed over 100 startups – and seen 50 liquidity events, with 22 IPOs, and 28 others being acquired by public companies. From 1981 to 1992, Gerry was co-founder of Mentor Graphics Corporation (NASDAQ: MENT) where he served as President as it grew to over $400M in sales and $1B in market capitalization. Today, it is still the second largest software company in the Pacific Northwest.

Gerry is the author of The Vision Trap (Harvard Business Review, 3/92), which is widely used in business schools and corporate training forums. He also authored a chapter in Venture Capital Best Practices, Aspatore Books, 2005. Gerry holds an A.B., Chemistry, Cornell University; M.B.A., Harvard University. He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Max-Viz, on the Board of Viral Logic Systems Technology, and as back-up OVP partner on BioPassword, Intelligent Results, and Octavian Scientific.


Anglea Biever - Managing Director, Consumer
Internet sector, Intel Capital

Angela Biever is Managing Director for the Consumer Internet sector within Intel Capital, Intel’s corporate venturing organization. She assumed this role in early 2006. Her areas of investment focus are worldwide and include new consumer usage models, social networking, emerging electronic payment systems, online commerce and emerging technologies around search and media distribution.
Prior to this, Angela was General Manager of Intel’s New Business Initiatives (NBI), a center for new business creation that also resides within Intel Capital. The businesses within NBI represent future growth opportunities for Intel. Successes include: WiMAX (wireless broadband), low power chipset for ultramobile PCs and a new architectural approach for graphics. Ventures have also been formed in RFID, wireless sensor networks, Ultrawideband wireless connectivity, optical interconnects and biotech.

Prior to joining Intel in 1999, Angela was a senior executive at First Data Corporation. She was President of one of its operating subsidiaries and also served on the Company’s Senior Management Committee, a group providing policy and direction for the then $2 billion information and transaction processor. During her tenure at First Data Corporation, Angela held positions as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Company, played a key role in its IPO, and was SVP of Finance and Business Development. Angela has also held senior management positions at American Express Company and Time Inc, and was a consultant at McKinsey & Co. Much of her work has focused on growth and new business creation whether organic, through acquisitions or other methods.

Angela has been a member of the Board of Directors of Raymond James Financial since 1997 and is currently Chairman of its Audit Committee. Additionally, she serves on the Industrial Advisory Board of Pacific Northwest National Labs; Board of Advisors, Lally School of Management and Technology, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; and, serves on AeA’s Emerging Companies Committee in Portland, Oregon. Angela has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a degree in business from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.

John Gabbert - Managing Director, Private Markets,
Dow Jones & Co.

John Gabbert is the Managing Director of Private Markets for Dow Jones & Co. In this position he is responsible for the research, sales, marketing, and product development of a suite of venture capital and private equity information products including VentureSource, VentureWire, and the Private Equity Analyst- among others. Prior to this role, he was the Vice President of Worldwide Research at VentureOne (acquired by Dow Jones), where he led the company’s research and analysis efforts and was responsible for the body of venture capital knowledge that is the foundation of the company’s products and services. John has also been a key member of the leadership team that drives the strategic growth of the organization and actively explores and evaluates new information product offerings. Throughout over eight years with the organization, he has played a key role on both sides of six acquisitions/mergers the company experienced. He has also held other positions within VentureOne including Senior Director of Research, Director of Operations, Research Operations Manager, and Research Associate. In these capacities he led operational and strategic aspects related to the domestic and international growth of VentureOne, and was responsible for ensuring the integrity of VentureOne’s database as well as leading the research processes. He received a B.A. in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Marketing from the University of Washington.

Serhiy Loboyko is the leading expert of the Ukrainian IT-export industry and one of its strongest advocates. Serhiy is regularly asked to advise the government on the development of the hi-tech industry, and he is a frequent speaker at international conferences.
Serhiy is a Co-founder and Managing Director of the pioneering Ukrainian venture capital firm ‘TECHINVEST’, which is supported by leading international technology corporations and venture capital funds. He is a Managing Partner in DFJ NEXUS Fund, the first technology venture fund in Ukraine. DFJ NEXUS, an affiliate of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, will invest in seed/early stage Ukrainian technology companies targeting global markets.

In 2003, Serhiy Loboyko organized the first international research of Ukrainian IT-export industry with Market-Visio (Gartner Group) and Ukrainian Software Consortium- an ecosystem of about 30 local IT-export companies and R&D institutions. In 2002, Serhiy worked as an advisor for Glushkov Cyber Center Institute in Kyiv, a division of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine (NASU). He, jointly with the former scientists of the NASU, started his venture entrepreneurship activities by setting up a successful technology firm specializing in export production of Silicon and Silicon-Carbide mono-crystals. Serhiy also worked as an advisor to the local offices of UNDP and Soros’ Foundation (2000-2001), Ministry of Economy of Ukraine (1999-2000), the World Bank (1998-1999), BARENTS Group (KPMG), (1997-1998), Credit Suisse Fist Boston (1997-1998), National Institute of Strategic Studies (1996-1998), Secretariat of the Parliament of Ukraine (1995-1996), as well as local governments and business organizations.

Serhiy graduated cum Laude with a Master’s degree in Economics from Lviv State University, Ukraine. He also holds a certificate in technological entrepreneurship from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA.

Eileen Boerger - VP & General Manager, Agilis Solutions
Eileen Boerger is Vice President and General Manager of Agilis Solutions, A Business Unit of Hepieric, Inc. Since joining the company in 2000, Eileen has been responsible for the delivery of the company’s outsourced engineering services, which is now the Agilis Solutions Business Unit.

Eileen has extensive experience in the development and management of software systems and applications. She also has managed the outsourcing of software development and maintenance projects to three countries, Vietnam, India, and New Zealand.

Prior to joining the company, Eileen was Vice President of Operations at QualityLogic, where she was responsible for delivering Quality Assurance services. She has also held a variety of management positions at Mentor Graphics Corporation, including Vice President, Intellectual Property Partnerships, Vice President of the Design Flows Strategic Business Unit and Vice President of Corporate Engineering. Prior to Mentor Graphics, Eileen was Vice President of Software Technology at Unisys Corporation.
Eileen is currently a member of the Oregon Engineering and Technology Industry Council (ETIC), a public sector - private industry partnership focused on growing the capacity and excellence of Oregon’s engineering and technology programs. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Software Association of Oregon (SAO) and the Women in Technology International (WITI) Foundation. Eileen has been recognized by Open Computing magazine as one of the “Top 100 Women in Computing”.

Jorge Zavala - CEO, TechBA
With a track record as a technologist, CEO and venture capitalist, Jorge Zavala’s unique 360 degree perspective of technology development and value creation has him spearheading Mexico’s entrepreneurial infrastructure and ecosystem in the high technology sector through TechBA. As CEO, he joined the TechBA Program in December, 2004 to bring innovative Mexican technology companies to the U.S. to expand their business. His is also responsible for developing awareness and mindshare within the U.S. market, of Mexico’s deep expertise and capabilities in high-technology.

With more than 28 years of management experience, Jorge has been the CEO of 7 companies. He has a unique entrepreneurial spirit and background combining the best of many worlds: a deep understanding of technology, experience as a venture capitalist and as a CEO starting and growing successful companies. Prior to joining TechBA, he was as an Associate Partner and CTO of Visionaria, a venture capital group that provides funding, consulting and coaching to IT companies.

Jorge has been a Guest Speaker at IPADE, the prestigious Graduate Business School in Mexico City, for several years on topics such as creating virtual communities for business environments, enabling innovation within the organizations, collaborative learning and deployment strategy: the knowing and doing gap.

Jorge received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Universidad La Salle, Mexico and a M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He is actually involved in supporting high innovative technology start-ups in their initial and turn around stages. Jorge is bilingual in Spanish and English.

Keith K. Daellenbach - Director of Engineering Research,

Keith is Director of Engineering Research at Bioject Medical Technologies, Inc., the leader in needle-free drug delivery technology based in Tualatin, Oregon. His responsibilities include management of Research & Development Laboratory, new product development and clinical research, domestic and foreign vendor management, and technical marketing for current and potential strategic partners.

Keith serves as a key liaison with off-site patent counsel to file new patents and manage intellectual property, represented Bioject on ISO working group which developed the international needle-free injection standard, and constantly seeks new opportunities to maintain Bioject’s technological leadership. With other medical device companies, Keith has designed and successfully developed a variety of medical products including a high speed dental handpiece, orthopaedic knee and hip implants, and prosthetic limbs.

Keith received his Bachelor of Science mechanical engineering degree from Oregon State University (Corvallis, Oregon) and his Masters of Science in the same field from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, New York). He holds a Professional Engineering license in mechanical engineering and is the author of over two dozen journal articles, book chapters, and technical monographs.
